Supports Code Compliance department by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist with structural and anchorage calculations for fenestration products
Assist with CAD drafting of fenestration certification drawings
Validate and document construction of laboratory test units
Process data for engineering spreadsheets and databases
Perform quality assurance audits of certification data in order entry system
Perform quality assurance audits of fenestration products on manufacturing floor
Attend meetings with mentor or other Senior Engineers

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Junior or Senior year in a Mechanical, Civil, Industrial or related engineering program or engineering technology program
Requires basic knowledge of:
Microsoft Word and Excel
AutoCAD or similar CAD drafting software
LANGUAGE / COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Requires good verbal and written communication skills.
Must have basic knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry
Must be self-directed and self-motivated with strong multi-tasking skills
Must have the ability to initiate action with little direction and maintain consistent follow-through
Strong team skills
Consistent daily attendance with strong time-management skills essential
Ability to complete projects on time and adhere to stringent work deadlines

Occasional travel may be required to trade shows and other company-related functions or events.
